Concert review of Black Kids
I saw the Black Kids the other night at the Great American Music Hall. As I promised in a previous entry, I said that I would give a full review of the show.
The venue (GAMH) was packed, which I was a little surprised for a Monday night show. But they have been gaining significant popularity over the past year. Just this past Friday they performed on the Jay Leno Show. The Black Kids were solid and really rocked. It was really refreshing to hear a youthful, optimistic, and lively group wail out. They sent out a great vibe and the crowd was reciprocating. Overall it was a great show.
I was fortunate to meet the drummer, Kevin Snow, out front after the show and express my appreciation for the group and their performance. My girlfriend and I then headed to Beauty Bar hoping to see the band, who said they’d be grabbing drinks after the concert. After about 30 min. I was too tired and we just decided to go home, so not sure if they made an appearance, but I have to say that the Black Kids seem like they get down and party.
